Dear Loved Ones,

This is Saint Fleur John Peter, the son of Lunie, our former scholarship student. At an early age, Lunie found herself pregnant. The father disappeared shortly after the birth leaving the poor girl with no means of survival and a boy to raise. Lunie has struggled to live most of her life.

It was through the transaction of selling/buying charcoal that Kihomi discovered this young girl. Kihomi invited her to come study at our university where four years after she graduated with a degree in business. Today Lunie has a shop at the Limbe market where she sells all kind of goods and has helped two people find jobs. Every Saturday, she shares some of her money with poor persons of the area. Her son can go to the university with pride of having his mom pay for him.

Saint Fleur John Peter, Lunie’s son, remains an interesting young man. When he was in high school, he learned sewing becoming a tailor at early age. Today he is studying agriculture with the hope of studying the transformation of some vegetables into vitamins and proteins plus. This past summer he planted 400 young papayas trees on a piece of land his grandparents left behind. He is also very interested in the transformation of soya beans.

He has taught himself computer science and teaches many young persons when he is not in school. Today he got the gift of a computer to help him do his research. You can see on the pictures he could not contain his emotion and his expressed himself by saying:" What a surprise! Thank you, thank you Mr. and Mrs. Nzunga. Only God knows how I feel at this moment"

We say thank you to you all because we can only help when you hear God's call and you help us. Together we become the feet and the hands of Jesus in Haiti.

 Yours in Haiti,

 Nzunga & Kihomi

Dear Friends,

This story sums up much of Nzunga’s and Kihomi’s ministry…one on one.  Watching and listening with an open heart to the tribulations of the poor in Haiti.  Limited funds require them to be guided by God to help those He brings to them that are truly needy but capable of being much more than circumstances allow.  Then the glory of God is clearly seen by all as they help improve the lives of their own family and others.  This is because you give to keep them there.  Thank you.

In His Grace and Peace,
