Dear Loved Ones,

Greeting and Merry Christmas.

Here is what I went through during my week of visiting 6 churches in the deep end of Haiti. First the road to many of our churches is rough. It takes special courage to risk ones life on those roads. Some of the places have names like “yeux virés” or spinning eyes. Looking at these valleys it is easy to get dizzy and faint. Another problem is that you can not imagine how long it will take to get where you going although you know the distance. Sometimes a truck has flipped over, landslide, flood, broken road, broken bridge,.... or work on the road which was the case when I was going through the spinning eyes road to Savanette. It took us five hours instead of two and half. Again, thanks for the good truck you provided for us.

After seeing where our ladies come from to attend our meetings and trainings, I have come to respect them more. They endure a great deal of sacrifices and risk their lives on the most dangerous roads I have seen in this country in fourteen years of ministries.

The visit also showed how much women were excited, interested and involved in the Lord’s work. Everywhere I went women were the majority in churches and very active. In two churches they have very active sewing centers and one grinding machine for rice and another machine for maze. I saw how the teaching of micro finances is producing fruits. Beside, they always do evangelism in their communities.

All the women wished to have such visits on a regular basis. Because of your commitment I can say: "here I am Lord, send me".

Thank you for your prayers and support to our ministries.

Yours in Haiti,

Kihomi & Nzunga Mabudiga

Dear Faithful Supporters,

I thought I had seen the worse roads in the world when working with Bright Hope near Pinion Haiti and the jungles of Peru.  Looking at these pictures I may have been wrong.  You have to experience this kind of travel to really understand.  Words and pictures can’t really do them justice.  Just think of the dedication it takes to start on a trip not knowing how long it is going to take, knowing there are no service stations or repair shops to help you if you need it.  No AAA towing service and not rest stops, restaurants, etc.  In addition you may have to ford rivers and hope they are not swollen.  The new reliable truck is a tremendous blessing and definitely helps with peace of mind.  Thank you again.

Kihomi travels like the stories we read of the pioneers heading across the country heading west.  You are on your own!  You can see by the crowds when she finally arrives how much she is loved and the encouragement the ladies receive from her presence.  Your support is doing much to glorify Him by allowing her to stand besides these ladies.

Peace be with you,

Dennis Shewell
