Nzunga Preaching at Baptist Church
Dear Loved Ones,
Greeting. This Sunday March 3, 2013, we went to worship at our Baptist Church of La Plaine du Nord where I had to bring the message on FORGIVENESS (Mathew 6:13).
Plaine du Nord is the capital city of Haitian voodoo superstition. It is here in this city that we found the big mud pool where the voodoo believers go bath for success and chance/luck in life. The pool is an attraction in the country.
Interestingly the mud pool is at the entrance of three big institutions of the city: our Baptist Church, the Catholic Church and the cemetery. So every day, the believers of all walks of life are torn between choosing God and devil, life and death.
It is only by learning to forgive each other, to tolerate and to accept one and other that we all can build a peaceful society and can hope for some personal and collective development. Division, passion and hatred are like cancer and are destroying our society.
Next week end I will be in Port-au-Prince to lead some kind of family teaching in one church.
Thank you for praying for us as we struggle to spread the message of Love & Forgiveness.
Yours in Haiti,
Nzunga & Kihomi
Dear Supporters,
I write so much about the work Nzunga and Kihomi do helping with the daily lives of Haitians that sometimes I forget about the time they spend preaching the Word. How do we learn if there is no one to teach us? Almost every Sunday they are somewhere in the country strengthening the faith and inviting others to accept Jesus. I asked a Pastor in Pignon I was working with if he had every met Pastor Nzunga. He said no but everyone new of him and he had heard him on the radio. We are fortunate to be able to support the ministry of someone who is well respected all across Haiti. They will listen to what Nzunga and Kihomi teaches them about the Love of God and what Jesus expects of is followers.
In His Grace and Peace,
