Dear Loved Ones,

Greeting. This man is Mr. Philip Dorema from Ange village in Vaudreuil with Mrs. Marleine Joseph, our head nurse. Mr. Philip became orphan when he was 3 months old. He talks funny and does not show sign of much intelligent but can amuse people.

In September of last year, he started complaining that he can not see far. Being poor and growing in a poor family, nobody paid attention to his complaints. One day he went to get water somewhere and could not find his way back home. He had no idea of where he was and where his house was. He started crying. That was the time his cousin thought of our eye clinic.

Early this week, Mr. Philip was operated on his right eye for cataract. This morning when our nurses took off his bandages, Mr. Philip was able to see again. He let everybody at the clinic know about his joy. He said that Sunday he will be in church to show everybody that he can see again.

Please join us as we celebrate as the beggar in the Bible the recovery of sight of Mr. Philip Dorema and be praying for his left eye operation next week.

Thank you for your support which helps people like Mr. Philip see again.

Yours in Haiti

Nzunga & Kihomi

Dear Friends,

Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes.  Immediately they received their sight and followed him. Matt 20:34

Many come to Jesus when they were looking for something else.  He did not care about their social status, intelligence, how they dressed, ethnicity, or wealth.  He simply had compassion.   The eye clinic is a perfect example of following Jesus in today’s world.  Who would you not like to see in your church?  Who would you not invite?  You can be assured as you support Nzunga’s and Kihomi’s ministry that all are included.  When the big earthquake happened in 2010 and the TV was saying all the big agencies that were sending money and aid, Nzunga told me none of that aid would reach the people in the ravines.  This is where the most disenfranchised live in Haiti.  He was right but this is where their ministry spends much of their time.

In His Grace and Peace,
