Graduation canidates family's
Dear Loved Ones,
Greeting from our campus of Haut-Limbe. Today Wednesday May 15, was a
special day in the life of our university. 27 senior theological students had
to participate, accept, and commit their life to ethically
serving the living savior. Those students have spent four full yeas and
some of them five years studying how to be a good pastor in this
corrupted world. Their academic graduation is for May 31.
I had the privilege of teaching them Pastoral ethics, pastoral counseling and
pastoral theology. It is always fascinating to me to observe how our dynamics
change from that of professor-students to friends and bosses. From now on the
future of the church in Haiti is
on their hands. They are the ones who will prepare our people to enter in a new
Haiti
where honey and milk will flow for all.
As we rejoice with them and their families, please join us in giving
Thanksgiving to God for all His goodness to all of us.
Yours in Haiti,
Nzunga & Kihomi
Dear Supporters,
This is the 15th year Nzunga has guided future pastors towards serving our Lord with integrity in Haiti. In a country where many have had to fight to survive , ethics and integrity can be easily be forgotten or rationalized away. (Not that it doesn’t happen here also.) Nzunga holds his students to high standards and they are part of the slowly improving picture of Haiti. If you travel with Nzunga you are met everywhere by his former students in their long sleeve shirts and ties often in a position of responsibility. The new Haiti with jobs and justice for all has long been dreamed of. Let us pray that through these well equipped students spreading God’s love and Jesus message, it can be achieved.
Blessings,
Dennis Shewell
