Dear Loved Ones,

Greeting. Please share with us the pain of Mr. Joseph Joel from Port de Paix. Port de Paix is  20 minutes by plane from Cap-Haitian and all day in a vehicle. I have been there many times and the ride is not smooth at all.

Mr. Joseph has cancer in both eye and the eye you see has been operated on once. That eye has flies that have laid eggs and now it is producing some small insects (maggots) I am not sure of the exact word.

He came to us without a dime. Our doctor is going to operated on him thanks to the support of Restoring sight to children project.

Cases like this one tear our hearts apart and we go back home with heavy hearts. It is hard to stop thinking about the patients like Joseph.

Thank you for your prayers and your supports.

Dear Friends,

Last week we published the journal about the little 5 year old girl, Hugue  Valentine, with cancer of the eye and how what we can do is limited.  Now we see Mr. Joel with cancer in both eyes.  Thanks to your support of the eye clinic he will have the tumor removed and then we must pray.  There is little else we can do.  Nzunga and Kihomi see such sad cases everyday.  Please pray that God will grant them the peace that passes all understanding.  It is easy to be haunted by such cases and the knowledge of what would be done if he was here.  The unfairness of life can be very depressing and we must turn to the One who loves us and knows us to throw our cares on.

Peace,
