Dear  Loved Ones,

Greeting from Arizona. We are still visiting churches and have been traveling since June 7.

Thursday July 25 will be the memorial date in the history of the Haitian Baptist Convention. It is in this date in the city of Lascahobas that the general secretary of the Haitian Baptist Convention, the Reverend Dr. Emmanuel Pierre, and the National Committee of Women’s Association broke the ground of the Women's Conference and Training Center.
 
This has been a long and old dream that is coming true. Since the beginning of the Women's Association under the leadership of Sister Kihomi Ngwemi in 2000, women have always felt the need of having a place where they can receive their different trainings. They have met in classrooms, churches, under the trees. They have slept on floor in the churches as well in classrooms. They have endured all kind of weather and bad conditions.

Having a permanent place they can call their own now is the dream every woman in the Haitian Baptist Convention.

Please pray that one day these women will not need to sleep on the floor of classrooms but will have a beautiful conference center to use for the empowering of women and the glory of God.

Dear Friends,

This has been a goal of the Women’s Association for a long time.  They have had disappointment several times when they thought they were going to get donated land and then it fell through for one reason or another.  They hope to start with a dormitory and meeting room.  This will be an uplifting achievement for these ladies as Kihomi has been encouraging them to think for themselves and they have, deciding this is one of their greatest needs.  This is truly a day to remember and soon let’s hope we are witnessing a ribbon cutting at new facilities.
