I spoke on behalf of Nzunga & Kihomi at the Christ our Savior church in Kansas City, Kansas, this Sunday.  It is a small church, less than a 1000 sq ft in the inner city.  Grass is growing up in the gravel parking lot, there is no air conditioning and the inside side is paneled walls.  Their pastor is 80 years old and the regular attendance is 30 souls.

This was their 25
th anniversary at this spot as the church building is much older I think.  Mission was the theme of this gala and boy do they live out this theme.  The church supports N & K with $250 / month, they raised $3000 by a year long pledge system for water wells in Haiti, they run Good News clubs for the kids in the elementary school every Friday, and they work with the homeless at the mission house.  What example of giving it all to Him.  My churches and many others have a cross on the table in front of the pulpit.  Here is a picture of theirs.  WOW!   We left the RV at 9:30 AM and got back at 6 PM.  They had a combined church choir and did they rock the place.  Thought I was watching Sister Act.

Sweat was really running but nobody cared.   The whole neighborhood had to hear them.  I was talking to the pastor at lunch and said not all churches are that mission minded.  He replied “No mission, no church…just a nice club”   We should do a documentary about them and send it too all the churches.
