Dear Loved Ones,

Greeting. Let me introduce you to Pastor Giordani Mompremier of our Baptist Church in the boarder city of Ouanaminthe. Reverend Mompremier is among the top and respected lawyers in the city of Ouanaminthe. As our former student, he felt that my teachings on latrines were targeting him. He felt ashamed of himself. He went back to his church to modernize the facilities.

Mompremier has also helped us with escorting the teams when we visit the boarder city of Dajobon, Dominican Republic. He has been very instrumental in organizing his colleagues for our visits.

Now he is battling lung cancer.  In Haiti, his chance of surviving is very slim if not zero. Plan is to take him to Cuba where can be treated.

I just visited him about a week ago. He deeply appreciated and said: "I feel healed already by your presence. You have blessed me by coming to my home".

Please keep his family, his church, the Ouanaminthe community and all of us as we share this heavy load.

Yours in Haiti,

nzunga & kihomi

Dear Friends,

I remember Pastor Mompremier well.  He was always there when we visited the chaos at the Dominican border.  A big man with a big smile protecting us along with his friends.  Often we just can't understand what is going on.  We have to rely on "trusting not our own understanding but  leaning on the Lord".  It is hard.  It hurts.  You feel helpless.  Please pray for the the pastor to have strength and to trust the Great Physician.  Please pray for Nzunga and Kihomi as they attempt to provide comfort.

In His Name,

Dennis Shewell
