Dear Loved Ones,

Salute.  I always struggled to prepare my lessons to share with our women in different churches. From time to time, women will come with their creative imagination to actualize what I have taught them.

Lately in the city of Laschobas we were blessed to attend the health education session delivered by a health agent we have trained.  I personally was impressed to hear how women can take a subject I have taught and explain it in the context of their culture.

Mrs. Manelle was teaching about cholera. As she called on the attention of the group, she lifted her hand and said: “this is the worst enemy of the human body”. Because the only way bacteria and cholera get to a person is through a thirty hands in the mouth”. Women were amazed to learn that their own hands can become their worst enemies that bring diseases and cholera in their families. I, Kihomi always teach and remind them about their role as "HELPERS" to stand strong to stop cholera in the Country. The women's commitment to practice hygiene principles encourages us to continue to ministry to them on your behalf.

Please join us in praying for those women who try to make their best out of this difficult situation.

Yours in Haiti,

Kihomi

Dear Supporters,

It is not news that we are often our own worse enemy.  The women of Haiti are learning how important hygiene is in preventing disease and how it can be their own hands that transmit germs into their bodies.  There is no way to know how many lives have been saved by Kihomi’s constant teaching of good health practices but it is many.  Nzunga and Kihomi have written other articles on how ignorance kills and they are doing all they can to dispel this ignorance by their teaching.  It is even better when those taught start teaching it in ways that are relevant to the culture.  Jesus quite often taught via parables that were understandable to the audience of his day.  Thank you for your support.  You are saving lives and showing God’s love thru these two dedicated servants.

In His Peace,
