Dear Loved Ones,

Greeting. While on our deputation these past months, many people wanted to know the different prices our patients pay at the eye clinic. Here are the main ones:

Consultation: 200 gourdes or US $ 4.25

Cataract operation: 2750 gourdes or US $58.50 one eye.

For many patients, those prices are too much and they cannot afford them. In a country where the insurance is not for the ordinary people, health care is a luxury for poor persons.

Thank you for your support and your prayers for this important ministry of restoring sights and hope in many discouraged persons and making families live responsibly again.

Yours in Haiti.

Dear Friends,

Sounds cheap to us but when you consider that the majority of Haitians make less than a dollar a day it can be out of reach.  Since we started this program we have restored the sight of many children but have not reached our goal if 24 a month.  Removing the cataract from one eye and a pair of glasses is $110 to $120.  I just had the cataracts removed from my eyes and new lens installed in March.  Almost $6900 after insurance!!  I should have let Nzunga take care of me.  If you have donated to this project thank you.  If you have not you can be like Jesus and touch a child’s life by restoring their sight.  What a wonderful opportunity to change a life and show God’s love for a small investment.

Peace,
