Dear Loved Ones,

Greetings. The children you see in the pictures are not on the school ground. They are at the eye clinic. We had the whole class for a general check up of their eyes. For the first time for the majority of them to be seen by an eye doctor. It was an amazing day where those children brought their joy, their energy and their curiosity. Many of them needed eyeglasses to see well and some got some medication.

To thank them for being so nice and so disciplined, we gave each of them Mama Sharon's stuffed animals. They were thrilled to have those gifts.

Thank you for being with us as while we try to serve the least of these.

Yours in Haiti,

Nzunga & Kihomi

Dear Friends,

This class of children gets their eyes checked and gets to see the wonderful operation of the eye clinic. Remember when we were in elementary school and we had to point which way the “E” was pointing. Showing my age, I think! Doubt if that is done anymore. It is unheard of in Haiti but now they are getting early help to save their eyesight. What a positive experience for them, including a gift.

Nzunga continues to expand the role of the eye clinic. They are attempting to open a satellite operation up by the DR border. They take a mobile clinic on the road. The building has doubled in size and an in-house lab is envisioned.

God has blessed this clinic as it continues to try to meet overwhelming need.

Blessings,
