Dear Loved Ones,

Greetings. We are back in Haiti again since August 30. The very next day, in spite of some fatigue due to the long flight, I was out there visiting the last pump I left being dug in the Newa region. Newa is a subsection or sub church of our Haut-Limbe Baptist Church.

Newa is an isolated area. There is nothing to attract its development. Once you are there, you have to wonder where Newa’s population gets its drinking water.

Once the pump was set, the Newa region did not have any drop of rain the entire month of July. It was hard for our people.

As one person said, the pump was a manna God gave them at the right time.

Thank you for standing by our side to provide this manna to our population. Your support means a lot to all of us.

 Dear Supporters,

The best thing we can do to save lives and make life easier, especially for the water fetching women and girls, is to dig wells.  After many tries at others ways to provide clean water this has proven the best.  Clean water with little maintenance issues and nothing to steal, such as car batteries on water purifiers.  The whole village is aware when a well is dug and God is Glorified, as they know who is doing it and why they are doing it.  Kihomi quite often uses it as a chance to teach them about water borne diseases and other hygiene practices they should employ.
