Dear Loved   Ones,

Greeting. Every year the eye clinic receives nursing students for their internship. When they arrive at our clinic we do our best to welcome them and show them around the clinic. Most importantly we have to explain to them what we expect of them. This welcoming and orientation phase is very critical and very important. How well they are going to feel at our clinic and how well they are going to learn from this practical experience depends on how well we receive them.

I have learned that how well we explain to them our expectation helps them know their limits, their dos and their don'ts. The first impression leaves a lasting impact/effect in this ministry of caring for other people. If those students keep coming back year after year now, we praise God that they found their training to be adequate.

On human level all those praises go to you who support us without the idea of seeing with your own eyes what you sacrifice for.

Dear Friends,

This is just another example of how revered the eye clinic is among the medical circles in Haiti.  It is very clean, organized, and professionally ran.  Thousands have been served and given life changing improved eye sight.  In some cases the blind have had their sight restored.   The students time here is wonderful for them to learn how to operate this way, with the patients’ needs coming first.  It is also good for the eye clinic to have extra helping hands.  Everyone wins.  They also learn this is a ministry of Jesus Christ via the Haitian Baptist Convention.  Seeing the love of Jesus in action helping others is as important for their education as the medical side.  Thank you for support.

Blessings,
