Dear Loved Ones,

 

Greeting from Dominican Republic where we are vacationing.

It has been a wonderful experience that is very enriching for us. Yestarday Sunday July 13, we went to worship with fellow believers of Beraca Church where Mrs. Phanor is the pastor. I was supposed to bring the message of God for this Lord Supper Sunday.

 

The church was filled up even though the electricity came in when we were about to leave the church.  This prevented us from dancing to the tunes of Haitian-Spanish music.

 

I preached from Luc: 15:11-24. "The Lord table as the sign of the love and forgiveness". Drawing from the Prodigal son, his return and the feast at home was a sign of his fatherly love and forgiveness. As we come together around this Lord's table, we need to remind ourselves of our Heavenly Father's perfect love and forgiveness regardless of our good actions.

 

After the service, we went to the house of the pastor for a nice meal.

 

We got home around 3 PM.

 

Tomorrow Tuesday July 16, Kihomi will be meeting with women of that church to talk about their ministry.
